Northfield Mount Hermon's Spike Albrecht commits to Michigan

With freshman guard, Trey Burke possibly declaring for the 2012 NBA Draft, Michigan head coach John Beilein has already signed another point guard for next season.

Friday night, the Wolverines got a commitment from Northfield Mount Hermon's Spike Albrecht. This commitment comes on the heels of Albrecht's visit to Michigan Thursday.

According to UMHoops.com, NMH head coach John Carroll said Beilein would offer his 6-foot-1 point guard after the visit.

Carroll was correct and Albrecht made it official around 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

Michigan finished 24-10 and were upset in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Ohio. 

Albrecht joins Mitch McGary (Brewster) and Nik Stauskas (St. Mark's) as the other New England prep stars heading to Ann Arbor. The Wolverine 2012 class is headlined by Glenn Robinson, son of the former NBA veteran.
