Ron Patterson to take official visit to Syracuse this weekend

Brewster Academy 2013 guard Ron Patterson will spend this weekend visiting Syracuse, according to his head coach, Jason Smith.

This was originally scheduled last week, but Smith confirmed Patterson will be in New York this weekend with the Orange Wednesday afternoon on his Twitter account.

Patterson joined Brewster late this summer and is one of the more sought after New England recruits. Xavier, SMU, and Providence have all offered Patterson and each of those schools has held visits with the 6-foot-2 guard. Marquette, Villanova, Kansas State, and Florida State have also shown interest.

Syracuse is looking to add a backcourt mate to the highly-touted point guard, Tyler Ennis (St. Benedict's Prep/Brampton, Ont.). Ennis has made it clear he wants to help recruit players to Cuse, most notably trying to convince Patterson's teammate, 2014 power forward Chris McCullough to join the Orange.

Along with Ennis, Syracuse also has small forward B.J. Johnson (Lower Merion High/Ardmore, Pa.) and center Chinonso Obokoh already committed to the 2013 class.
