Kahlil Dukes' Senior Season - signing day approaching

November 2, 2012 Kahlil Dukes

What's going on world? I'm back for my second blog. It's been a very challenging month. I'm still figuring out a few things as the lights began to turn on for me.

I should be all set by signing day, which is next month so I'm looking forward to finally becoming a USC Trojan. I'm just buying time until then; I’ve been writing a lot of music, I might drop an album.

I've been helping out other people a lot, which is something I've also been blessed with. I always know what to say, when to say it, and how to keep hope in people's lives. I feel like I'm here to help others achieve their dreams, as well me achieving mine. I just love seeing people happy and successful. Especially those close to me.

This month went by really slow for me too. School work has been easy, but classes have been so long. And everybody always got something to say to me. They keep telling me to remember them when I get famous, don't forget about them, and to give them my hat or my autograph so they can make money off of it.

I got my school Capital Prep in the 2013 Hoophall Classic  this January. I remember when I went last year; I told a group of peers I was with that I would get us in there. I knew I'd do what I did this summer so I felt confident I could get my school the gig. They didn't believe me, of course. But hey, we're in there.

(Capital Prep will take on St. Joseph's High (Masss.) Jan. 19, day three of the Hoophall Classic)

My coaches over at USC have contacted me almost every day. They're suppose to come visit me soon. They just started practice and said they're working hard so I'm expecting my Trojan boys to turn it up this year. I know that next year we'll all come together. We really are a family at SC.

When my signature signs that national letter of intent on November 14, I'll be personally signing my immaturity away and taking this thing where I've always visioned and trained to take it. I'm trying to deliver a message. I'm just hoping that y'all get it.

Shoutout to the whole SC, my coaches and teammates.
Shoutout to my whole school, Capital Prep.
Shoutout to my homeboy Kuran Iverson on his commit to Memphis.
Shoutout to my guy Dayshon Smith on his commit to Dayton, and shoutout to the bro Wayne Selden on his commit to Kansas.
We here to stay.
Thank you and I'll get back NEHoopNews next month!
Nov. 14, 2012, God is building someone special in me, I can feel it, let alone see it.
Hope y'all keep following me.
I love y'all.

Talk to y'all in November!

Yours truly,

Kahlil Dukes
