Sheehan knocks off Lyman Hall in SCC quarterfinals - Sheehan is known primarily for its stellar guards who run one of the more intriguing offenses to watch in the Southern Connecticut Conference. On Saturday, it was a stellar defensive performance, especially in the fourth quarter, that led the Titans to their first berth in the SCC boys’ basketball tournament semifinals in nine seasons. Sheehan put the defensive clamps on Lyman Hall to win 46-37 in the quarterfinals at East Haven. No. 7 seed Sheehan (16-6) held No. 2 Lyman Hall (17-4) to just six points in the final quarter and 14 in the second half.
